Finance/Grants

All schools in Wales receive four grants from the Welsh Government:

• Early Years Pupil Development Grant - The Pupil Deprivation Grant is extra funding from the Welsh Government intended to overcome the additional barriers disadvantaged learners face which prevent them from achieving their full potential. 
• Pupil Deprivation Grant - to improve outcomes for pupils eligible for Free School Meals
• Professional Learning Grant - to develop and train education professionals
• Standards Grant - To improve educational outcomes for all learners. 
• ALN Implementation and Reform Grant - Welsh Government funding deployed to support schools and local authorities to prepare for, and move, children to the new ALN system

It is a Welsh Government requirement that all schools make public the way grant funding is spent.

All grant plans are regularly scrutinised by the Governing Body at our school, supported by the advice of the Education Achievement Service (EAS) and the Local Authority.
